W.M. Montgomery & Sons now run every job from one system we built for them. The office and the teams out on site see the same live picture, from the first work order to the invoice at the end.
Before, jobs were tracked on paper and in an older system. We built a new one around the way the firm already works, then moved every job across over a single weekend. On the Monday morning the team picked up exactly where they had left off.
What we built
Every job, live. Each work order shows who has it, where it is up to and when it is due.
The right view for each person. Office staff, managers and site teams each see the jobs and details they need.
Nothing slips. Managers get a summary of overdue work every Monday morning, and people get an email when a work order changes.
Joined up with the accounts. Purchase orders and invoices pass straight to the firm’s accounts software, so nothing is typed in twice.
The year at a glance. A dashboard shows the value of the jobs due this year and how many are being finished on time.
The value
- More than 1,500 jobs moved across on go-live weekend, with nothing lost.
- One live record of every job, shared by the office and the site teams.
- Overdue work flagged every week, without anyone having to chase it.
- Purchase orders and invoices entered once, not twice.
